Dr. Joel Napenas, a practicing dental specialist in Oral Medicine, is managing partner and founder of 5DH Capital, which helps dentists and other professionals build wealth and earn passive income through investing in real estate. He is also an educator, researcher and academic (of over 35 peer reviewed articles, textbook chapters and editorships), residency training program director, hospital department chief and medical director at an academic medical center in Charlotte, NC. In addition to educating in his specialty, he teaches and mentors early and mid-career dentists on financial literacy, investing and wealth building, with an annual webinar series that reaches students and residents at programs and institutions across North America.
Winnie Napenas is COO and co-founder of 5DH Capital. As a real estate professional, she oversees the day to day operations managing their portfolio of multifamily properties, including investments in over 1350 units in North Carolina, Texas, Georgia and Florida. Prior to that she was a critical care registered nurse at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, and had a career in Scotiabank in Toronto in project management in world banking operations, and client relationship in retail banking, working with individuals in managing their personal finances and achieving their financial goals. Her current role as the COO and managing partner of 5DH Capital combines her passions in helping healthcare colleagues build wealth to achieve their life goals, through real estate investing partnerships.
Winnie and Joel are the proud and busy parents of 3 children, 9 year old twin girls and a 4 year old boy.
